December 2008

All FC&MCC Members,

Well the nominations for the 2009 club officers are as follows:
President - Gary Sullivan
Vice President - Kim Sinclair
Secretary - Carmen Billings
Treasurer - Pop Wilson
Historian - Paul Bickel
Sgt. of Arms - Wesley Mussleman

Well the old year has almost passed and what a good club year it has been. I want to thank everyone that came to our show and cruises this year. We had the best year yet and I enjoyed spending it with lots of my good friends.

We are looking forward to a special year coming up. We will be starting our cruise-in the last week in March…weather permitting. Show date is the August 15th (no location as yet). We will be doing more special cruises this year and hope we can keep up with all of the fund-raising events.

I want to thank all of those members and non-members that came and stayed for the Fredericksburg Christmas parade it was really cold and wet. If you go to Fredericksburg.com there is a video with Paul and Gary's car. Our club members attended both the Spotsylvania parade and the Fredericksburg parade.

I want to thank all of the officers for a wonderful year. Pete Patterson, Vice President, was at most everything trying to keep us up to par…(it worked some of the time). Kim made almost every cruise and did everything. We could not do it without Kim she is our music person and is fun and likes to work. Paul was at everything and did a wonderful job helping with everything. He was there to help set up and take down all the equipment and attended most all of our shows and cruise-ins. Pop was there for all the cruise-ins. Just a little old news…when the cruise started several members were not sure if they wanted to do a cruise so Pop wanted to do one so bad that he agreed to be at each one and make sure it was going good. He and Scott Kitts set up the cruise with VABBQ and we have been there ever since. We had wonderful people to work with at the VABBQ…thanks to Rick and Nina. One other officer that I have not thanked is (wild man) Wesley, he has been there for the club even when he was not feeling up to par. He helped me interview needy families last year and has helped me this year. Thanks Wes for all our help. I have also made lots of phone calls when I need an extra opinion and he will always tell me how he feels. Good job Wes.

We are getting Christmas for 5 needy families, total children (15). We will be shopping this Sunday at 12 noon at the Wall Mart at Massaponax and then wrapping gifts and handing out them to the families at the college Pizza Hut. The club will buy pizza for any one that wants to help.

Looking forward to another great year, and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Regards, Sue
